Artist Statement

In an effort to capture the magnificence and historic significance of the National Parks and Monuments of the great southwest, as well as local and regional parks and historical areas, the medium of photography is used. A desert environment provides the opportunity to witness and take advantage of the seasonal changes and record the capricious and often fleeting nuances of the desert landscape, while the abundant evidence left by those who have gone before contribute ample opportunity for recording the wonderful stories and essence of historic achievement.
